The Tony Rotax DD2 chassis is very different than the other two shifter packages available, the KZ and the Stock Moto. The Rotax company decided to build their own, dedicated sprint racing engine package and came up with the DD2. This package is a 125cc, two stroke, water cooled, direct drive, with a paddle shifter operated 2 speed gearbox. This is also an electric start engine, so this is one of the very few TaG (stands for touch-and-go) shifter engines! Many people refer to "TaG's" as non-shifter/clutch karts, but technically that is not correct, as there are electric started shifter engine packages available such as this one by Rotax.
Features that stand out on the DD2 engine are the lack of a chain! No adjustment ever! The engine is bolted directly to the chassis and never moves. Thus, a DD2 chassis is always a 'stand alone' version, in that no other engine can be fitted to a DD2 chassis, other than a Rotax Engine. No chain means less fuss and less oil fling and mess!
Next is the aforementioned TaG electric start system. How cool! Jump in your shifter, turn a switch and off you go! No running alongside your kart and jumping in or getting a push from your buddy to 'jump-start' your shifter kart.
Another feature many customers enjoy is the paddle shifter. Unlike the KZ and Stock Moto shifter karts, the DD2 is the only one with a factory installed paddle shifter system. So if a gear lever is not your thing, the Rotax DD2 paddles may be the answer for you.
Finally, the Rotax engine is one of the very few 2 cycle race engines that is able to run on pump gas. So go to your local service station and fill up your fuel jug. Rotax engines do not require high octane 'race-gas' to operate safely.

If you are looking for one of the highest quality sprint racing shifter chassis, look no further. The OTK built chassis (Tony Kart, FA, Kosmic and Exprit) comes standard with components that many manufactures offer "at extra charge."
Unlike some of the other manufacturers, the OTK line comes with top level equipment as standard. No 'upgrades' required! Magnesium accessories such as bearing cassettes, wheel hubs, brake rotor hubs, wheels and fittings all come standard. Its nice not to have to pay more to get the same thing Tonys come with right out of the box!
National Level (pro racing) results are available on-line, but we race what we sell here in the shop and we have racked up wins with our OTK karts running Honda CR125 "stock moto" shifter engines! The new OTK BSS braking system for the shifter kart chassis's is just amazing! Being able to drive all the different brands of karts, we just love the new BSS OTK brake system. Just massive stopping power and terrific pedal feel. We can't say enough good things about it! Unlike TaG racing, having better brakes than the competition is a must have in the shifter class. OTK delivers!

OTK...what is the difference in the FA, Tony, Exprit and Kosmic Karts?

OTK, the manufacturer, builds the Tony Kart, FA Kart, Exprit and Kosmic side by side. All these chassis are identical in every way! What this does is allow the customer to choose a color combination they like, which is not common in karting. Most often, whichever color the kart comes in from the factory is the color you get. No choices! So if you like Spanish national colors, buy an FA kart. Like green and white, buy the Tony. Prefer purple, white and silver? Buy the Kosmic. Like orange, blue, white and yellow? Buy the Exprit! Choices are nice and with OTK, the customer gets to choose!
